To Their Credit- TrueCar made it good, I'm happy! Written TrueCar "guaranteed" price of $34,789 went up b about $1700. This was via the AAA/ TrueCar website to Corwin Ford. Lesson learned is be prepared for pressure- added fees but in the end TrueCar came through and I'm happy.

Car will be 1k more than stated and they will not deliver it to you. The dealers have no idea about your quote from True car and do not care.

I purchased my Jeep in January with 4100 miles. In the past week, I have been having problems with my engine light on and my vehicle stalling. I have taken it back to True Auto who told me it was the battery that did not have a warranty. Now, I am still having the same isue with the new batrery. Hiw do I resolve this issue?

i just used true car to buy a 2010 mercedes from A motors of san antonio. I went to the dealer and they told me your price was no good and that was only a cash price. They then proceeded to charge me an extra 3000. and made the contract very confusing. I did not take possession of the car and notified them within 24 hours to cancel the deal they refused to return 300.00 deposit

I researched purchasing a used car via Truecar. I found a car, a 2015 Chrysler 300 Touring for a good price. I live in Maryland, so I had to drive to the state of New Jersey to pick up the car. The traffic was horrible on the day I decided to drive to it took me 8 hours or more to complete a four-hour journey. The dealer that I purchased the car from is called: Buy Right Used Cars. After making the purchase and receiving the documents from a person who called himself Lenny. I informed them that I lived in Maryland prior to tp driving to New Jersey. The person I was in contact with during negotiations is named Maria. Lenny promised that the car would pass Maryland inspection and that it was warranted from bumper to bumper for a specified period. So I agreed to the purchase. On the way home, the check airbag system light came on (Electrical problem discovered). This bothered me because, during the purchase, Lenny explained to me that the car was recently serviced and everything turned out fine. When I arrived home I sent Maria a message referring to the airbag warning light. She got in touch back with me the next day stating that Lenny said to get the airbag warning checked, but nothing else. Now consider this, this is my car, it has a pretty good warranty, and the dealer I bought it from is telling me what I can and cannot check. I made an appointment with Chrysler to get the car checked and it was discovered that the car had a worn tierod on the right front, new brakes, but the front and rear rotors were rusted as worn (This explains the problem I had slowing down), this fender panel lights did not work (required to work to pass inspection), a high beam light motor that did not work... Bad filters, etc. I spoke with Maria earlier after I received the problems from the dealer. Buy Right personnel was upset that I took the car to the dealer and were complaining about the cost to get it fixed. Later Leeny asked me to drive the car back to New Jersey to have it repaired at the Buy Right garage. I told them no, I was not going to risk my livelihood to drive an unsafe car back to New Jersey to a garage for repairs that could not guarantee that it would pass Maryland inspection findings. The total cost of the repairs is $3000. But Right suggested that I take $1000 because that is what it would cost them to make the repairs. Buy Right continued to suggest that the dealer was trying to make them overpay for parts and labor and I should not trust the dealer. Why would I trust Buy Right when the dealership knew of the problems associated with the car before it was sold to me. Buy Right used cars is truly an unethical business and I recommend this company is not allowed to advertise cars on Truecar. What they are advertising is not what the customer will receive. The company does not honor its contracts, and I do believe that most cars for sale are mechanically flawed and very unsafe.

I’ve had enough! I was hoping to just start doing some research on new cars and get some comparison pricing but it opened the floodgates. Everyday I get a text, a phone call, and an email from some dealers. And over and over again. I’ve told them I’m just shopping now but the harassment doesn’t stop. I’m so sorry I put my information in. Even telling them I’m not ready yet gets a text, email, and call asking when I’ll be ready and can I come in today for a test drive. Once I do decide on which car I want I will NOT go to the dealers who have been harassing me because they have made me so mad. I don’t care anymore even if their price was good.

Internet price on the car was e-mailed to me to be $22,664. When I called to buy the car they tried to add a $1495 preparation fee that was mentioned no where on their "true price" page. Truly deceptive price advertising and and definetly not "transparent" as True Car advertises. Bad experience.

Please read disclosure and terms before researching. If you do not want to be contacted by numerous dealers DO NOT PROCEED as they will forward all of your information and you will be inundated with calls, text and emails from every dealer within 50 miles or more. Just go to the dealer website instead. This is a joke and should be illegal the way the forward your information. They get paid by the dealer you buy from when you could get that money in a discount yourself.

I filled out their form just so I could see the dealers pricing and now my phone rings 10 to 15 times a day with dealers offers and if that wasn't enough, they now flood my email, forget this company they like the dealers are desperate to sell a car, you think after getting the messsage on my recorder which I use to screen my calls they would just give up, but NO !!!! they persist.

I found a 2016 Camry XLE with a good price and mileage that was in my request. True Car advertised it as a Camry XLE. The dealer and I arrived at a price and the Sam McNabb Dodge dealership in Tullahoma, TN made arrangements to deliver the car to me in Charleston, TN about 125 miles away and a two hour drive. When the car arrived it was a Camry SE NOT a Camry XLE. Called the dealer and they were very helpful in taking the car back. True car better find a way to describethe different Camry models available. The dealer was out a lot to prep and deliver a car that was nor advertised correctly from the start. Suggestion: Have your dealer double check the advertised car before accepting the True Car data.

I have used this service a couple of times in the past. first time it was a good experience, the second time less so. However, in the past you could actually build the vehicle you wanted. Now you get no options other the very general and all the service does for the consumer is send their contact information to a bunch of local sales people so they can start blowing up your phone with no information on what it is that you need or want. I will not be using this service any longer.

I am extremely disappointed. We usually buy from Carmax because there is no hidden fees or haggling involved. This time with the recommendation of our Schools First Credit Union, we decided to try TrueCar as they advertised it as a similar fast no haggling service like Carmax but “even better”. We found the perfect car, the perfect price, only to get to the dealer and be added 1000 extra fee for this and a fee for that. I pulled up your site to show your text. And I quote “With TrueCar, a Certified Dealer gives you an upfront, discounted price that includes all fees, accessory costs and incentives. This is your TruePrice, the price you’ll pay at the dealership. Better than any price you will find on other websites, backed by data and transparent down to the last detail” True Car Advertised.” The dealer keep saying they would loose money on the car otherwise etc. and that the dealer has their own rules and fees. After being there 3 hours on our 16 year marriage anniversary loosing our dinner reservations (usually 30-40 minutes tops in Carmax) trying to negotiate and although they kindly worked with us and left with the car. It was still with added fees. To say I am beyond disappointed come short of the integrity of the site and dealers. Not only will we only continue to buy from Carmax in the future. We will speak to our bank about this situation and customer referrals and blog about it as well.

Over the last two weeks I have been gathering data on a particular automobile within a three year production range. I know that local ( within 50 miles) dealers do not have the automobile yet truecar insists on searching my zip code , exclusively . I have found more information on eBay
